Star Wars and Harry Potter are ok, but this is the only film franchise that stars Henry Fonda, Jason Robards, Charles Bronson, Robert DeNiro, James Woods, Joe Pesci, Burt Young, Jet Li, Antonio Banderas, Johnny Depp & Mickey Rourke!
In this exciting episode, Nikki and Sara can finally speak publicly about their big news! Then, the young and talented Jermaine Fowler shares his big news about “In Living Color,” discusses his crazy family, pranking his girlfriend, and much more. Come, celebrate with us!
*(quick disclaimer: wrote most of this on my phone and due to my unfortunately proportioned fat fingers, iPhone typing is annoying and hard so I tend to go fast and loose with it - like Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon, or Ron Jeremy in any of his movies.)
Whoever wrote this Uproxx article is going through a really hard time right now because of the show Girls and I’m having a really hard time figuring out why.
I’m so confused about how I feel about Girls.
- Ok! That is FINE! Lots of shows make me feel things - that’s the great thing about movies and tv and books. And a lot of times I need to sift through my own emotions and ideals and figure out where I stand.
I was ready to write off the show after the first two episodes but I gave in and watched this past Sunday’s episode and it kind of won me over a little bit.
-So you kind of like it. Great! I guess we’re all done here -
-As the link is broken, I can’t read said EPIC TAKEDOWN, but should it be as mind-blowingly and boner-inducingly epic as you claim, then I respect that it may have raised valid points that caused you to think differently of the show. Maybe, though you admitted you - personally - enjoyed it, there’s something that turned you a little bit off.
I went back to sort of hating it.
-Or you hated(?) it. I’d like to take a second to offer sympathy for your emotional system that can rapidly switch from enjoyment to hatred because of some words someone, somewhere, wrote.
But then last night I saw this and I wanted to like it again…
-While I love and respect Louis CK and his work, I would have to say that I base roughly 0% of my own personal opinions on his tastes and beliefs. That’s not to say that we wouldn’t happen to match up value or entertainment wise. Or, if he wrote an essay asserting that - for example - we should all hail The Eagles as the greatest band of all time, I would read it and consider it out of respect. But I’m still not going to listen to one fucking second of Hotel California. Because I don’t like it.
Adding to my confusion: Lena Dunham telling Colbert last night that she’s never “done the sex.” Is Lena Dunham a virgin? I can’t tell if she’s joking or being serious. HELP!
-Who cares? Well, maybe some people care. And maybe some people care for good reasons. But as far as I can tell you’ll pretty much believe anything anyone tells you. So, here you go: “Lena Dunham has sex but uses the pseudonym ‘Belinda Honeytits’ every time.” - Benjamin Franklin.
There you go! From Benjamin Franklin himself. I think he also said “You’re a fucking idiot.” but hey, you’re not one to be swayed so easily.
